About
I spent 10 years in consulting before anyone called it data strategy.
I started in data in 2007 as an analyst. By 2010 I was running project teams. For almost seven years I worked in consulting — delivering data warehouse and BI projects for telecoms and retail clients in a commercial environment where the only thing that mattered was whether the business problem got solved. No room for elegant solutions nobody asked for.
Then I moved into product companies: S7 Airlines, Omio, Paysend, and most recently Formel Skin — which was acquired by MANUAL UK in 2025. In almost each of these I built the data function from scratch: the team, the stack, the processes, and the relationship with the business.
That combination — consulting delivery experience plus product company leadership — is unusual. Most data leaders come from one or the other. I've done both, and I think it shows in how I work.
I'm based in Berlin. I speak English and Russian.
